Editing
I offer a full composite of editing services, summarized below.

Structural (or developmental) editing: Assesses the organization of the document.
Re-shapes the material to achieve a coherent structure, progression of ideas and narrative flow. Identifies content gaps and inconsistent logic.
Stylistic editing: Smooths out the language for greater clarity, flow and readability. Eliminates jargon and inappropriate terminology. Adjusts the language level to the target audience. Ensures consistent tone and voice.
Copy editing: Corrects mechanical problems of grammar, punctuation, spelling, repetition. Checks placement of visuals, headings, captions, charts, cross-references, navigation tools. Checks references and citations.
Proofreading: Corrects any errors in textual and visual elements including adherence to design, minor mechanical errors, and accuracy of cross-references, hyperlinks, captions and other elements.
